TRUSTEE'S SECTION |
|
|
The present trustees are all people who recognise the valuable contribution that
the Charity makes to the health of the local community. The Trustee Board and Management
Committee meet four times a year and between meetings delegates its power to two
sub-committees. These are;
- The Clinical Committee that is made up of counselling and health professionals who
oversee the clinical work of the Charity and support its professional staff in their
clinical judgments.
- The Finance and General Purposes Committee oversee the running costs of the Charity
and consider its development plans for the future.
It is our intention to grow the service in such a way that professional standards
are maintained for Clients and Counsellors and provided that such growth does not
compromise the existence of the Charity. We are aware that our future depends on
the following key factors:
- Continued demand for counselling service
- Continuing high quality applications from trainee counsellors
- Adequate medium to long term funding to cover core costs
- Maintenance of a high quality and expanding Trustee base to oversee the management
of the Charity
If you feel that you may have a contribution to make toward growing our Charity
then we would like to hear from you. In the first instance please write to the Chair,
Terri Collins, at the Charity’s address or telephone the office and leave a message.
We will get back to you.
In particular we are looking for people to help locate funding; there are a number
of funding opportunities available if we have the time to locate the source and
fill in the forms. ‘Many hands make light work’ as the saying goes, and more help
would be appreciated. |
